 Castelli Romani and wine tasting
Tour starting from RomeWe will leave Piazza San Bernardo, adorned by Moses’ Fountain, passing by Piazza della Repubblica. Along the way we will admire the Caracalla baths, the Arch of Constantine and the Colosseum: this itinerary will take us on the Appia, passing under the Porta di San Sebastiano (this is the route used by the ancient Romans, who were going to the Castelli in the summer to enjoy the fresh breeze). Passing through Castelgandolfo, today’s summer residence of the Pope, we will arrive in Albano and then Ariccia. From the large bridge of Ariccia one can admire a wonderful view of the hills and countryside. We will pass through Genzano, Nemi, Rocca di Papa, Grottaferrata and Frascati, going along the Via dei Laghi.
After this panoramic tour you’ll visit of a large winery: we offer the opportunity to admire some Roman statues otherwise not visible to the public and to taste the products of the winery after discovering all the wine production stages.
Specifically, you will taste two types of wine with local bread, bruschetta with olive oil and cheese locally producted.
This tour will start in the surrounding of Termini station (main railway station in Rome).
If you'll stay in a central hotel in Rome, after the reservation you can get in touch with the tour operator to check if it's possible a pick up from your hotel.
