 Florence: Tour 5 Terre
Tour starting from FlorenceCINQUE TERRE… FULL IMMERSION
A tour in a corner of paradise, a unique experience in an area subdivided into 5 villages suspended on steep cliffs
overlooking the sea, where the vegetation with lush vineyards frames this breathtaking scenery.
Our tour sets off in the early morning from Florence to Portovenere, a picturesque little town built in Roman times on a
rocky promontory with the typical appearance of a Liguria village.
After a walk through the characteristic hamlet the tour continues to Monterosso, an old fishing town considered the pearl of the “Cinque Terre”. The town will
capture our attention with the beauty of its beaches and the luxuriant vegetation climbing up the rocks. Here, we shall
also have some time for a dip in the sea. Our last stop will be in Vernazza, a small fishing centre developed around
a little harbour hollowed in rock that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Up the steep steps and through the narrow
“Carrugi” (alleys) of the town we reach the main square overlooking the sea, where we can admire the hectic activities
of the fishermen.
